Santa Baby – Here’s Our List!

December 16, 2015

Have you ever heard that smoky, sexy Christmas song “Santa Baby?” Eartha Kitt first recorded it in 1953, and since then everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Taylor Swift and Madonna have given it their personal touch.

Have you ever heard that smoky, sexy Christmas song “Santa Baby?” Eartha Kitt first recorded it in 1953, and since then everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Taylor Swift and Madonna have given it their personal flare.

The lyrics were running through my head as I asked the Sweet Peas Design team to give me a no-holds-barred, design-oriented Christmas list for Santa this year. How could the big guy turn us down? After all, we’ve been really good girls!

Senior Designer Beth Kweton -  My Santa wish is for something furry. If this Bradley “Muffy” sheepskin otto showed up under the tree this year it would make me believe in Santa!

Associate Designer Lauren Benditzky - I’ve been obsessed with this Paul Lange piece since last summer, when I saw his Big Blooms exhibit at the Chicago Botanic Gardens. Paul is a photographer/artist who focused on single flowers in large scale for this series. Bold colors, movement, texture…he’s fabulous! See one below and the photo of one in Aerin Lauders’ home.

Principal Susan Brunstrum - My list for Santa includes a Brizo Vuelo Matte White Kitchen Faucet #64355-LF-PC-MW. It has smart-touch technology and a single lever. I would love it for my kitchen sink! The matte white and chrome combo is edgy, the design is feminine and curvy and it would look wonderful with my white marble, penny-round tile backsplash.

Senior Designer Angela LaVista - Hey Santa! I want this dining table from Luminaire. I love the sculptural elegance paired with a practical, sustainable material that makes it “green.”

Communications Consultant Laura Bianchi - No sugar plums for me – I’m dreaming of this Zia Privan H20 chandelier, in satin nickel, please. The name is definitely appropriate – the cascade of glass balls reminds me of bubbles, or a waterfall. It would really light up my Christmas, Santa Baby!
