They’ve Got Us Covered!

We never know where Sweet Peas Design’s work may pop up. This time one of our most ambitious custom rugs caught the eyes of editors at Cover magazine, an industry publication for carpets and textiles. A photo of this colorful, 10- by 10-footfloor covering, which we call “Lily Pad,” is running in the Autumn 2014 issue of the magazine with an article promoting High Point, the largest furnishings industry trade show in the world. It takes place this year in North Carolina in October and is considered a hot spot for anyone searching for fresh,cutting-edge ideas.

Julie and I and our client collaborated on creating this gorgeous piece which is based on a small portion of the client’s Monet-like painting of a lily pond.Julie told us it was the most spectacular rug she has done. Nepalese weavers created it with wool fibers in 150 shades of 21 colors.
