Grand Opening – Chicago Studio!

We are celebrating the Chinese “Year of the Fire Rooster” with some blazing-hot news – I am opening the doors to a second, full-service design studio at 1242 N. Wells in Old Town! The new location, between Declan’s Irish Pub and the Polish and Pour Nail Spa, will be staffed and ready to roll the third week of February. I will continue to be Chief Inspiration Officer for both studios, while Junior Designer Lauren Benditzky will be on-site in Chicago full-time with a new Senior Designer who will be announced soon. Financial Manager Caitlin Ridgeway and I will divide our time between Libertyville and Chicago. Senior Designer Angela LaVista will continue to bring her creativity and energy to the Libertyville studio full time, as will Architectural Associate Jennifer Cioni Tarello and Studio Manager Lauren Brown (who handles purchasing and procurement), though all their skills will be utilized as needed in both studios. And look for a new Junior Designer in Libertyville! According to Chinese astrology the year 2017 is characterized as powerful and decisive – I call that a “just go for it attitude,” and we are! It is the year of honest relationships, commitment, courage, ambition, enthusiasm, perseverance and pride, and that sounds a lot like the Sweet Peas Design team! This expansion has been on my radar for several years… Our Chicago-based clientele has been growing steadily, and this new studio will allow us to provide the same level of individual and personalized client service and expertise downtown that we have always given to clients on the North Shore.
