Grant Park Music Festival

September 20, 2019

I recently attended a concert at the Grant Park Music Festival for the first time since I've been a full-time resident in Chicago. Read more about the festival below!

While I have lived in the heart of Chicago for five years, I am reticent to admit I’ve never attended a concert at Grant Park Music Festival in Millennium Park until last month. For ten weeks in the summer, the Festival (in its 85th season) fills the city with music and is free for all to attend. Grab a blanket, a low-slung chair, some nibbles, a bottle of wine and invite a few friends along. Be prepared for lovely night out in the fresh air, looking up at the dark blue inky Chicago sky while listening to the Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus. Last month, I attended the show titled “A Mass of Life: A celebration of the Human Spirit” and felt such a sense of belonging amongst a community of people who truly enjoy the city they live in. I’ll be back next summer!
