Editor Elise Hofer Shaw invited me and five other Chicago-area designers to talk about an artist whose work we admire in this second annual event. I chose Chicago’s famed pastry chef Gale Gand because her work is colorful, sometimes whimsical and free-spirited, and she is just a great gal! (We met over tea and pastries to chat and discovered we had both grown up in Deerfield and attended the same high school.)

I'm also excited about seeing more of Sally Ko's art too http://sallyko.com/home.html. I like her textural white canvases as much as her colorful, layered works.

The Gallery Walk is free and open to the public. The artwork will be exhibited in home furnishings showrooms throughout River North and will include a wide variety of artistic styles from well-respected artists including Phillip Schalekamp, Adam Siegel, Sally Ko and Marketa Slvek.
