A Newly Minted Master Bath

Bringing Color to the Forefront
No ordinary, all-white master bath would do for this color-obsessed client! This remodel focused on three primary initiatives: a larger, steam shower, bigger vanities and more storage. To accommodate these wishes, we left the toilet location and window location static changed to a freestanding tub, added a linen cabinet, seat and niche in the shower (great for aging in place!), upper cabinet between the two sinks and lots of drawers! To hide the steam shower valves and create an open and airy feel, we included a knee wall inside the door (which is also great for an additional towel bar!). Our client fell absolutely in love with the green marble countertop slab within 5 minutes of being at Terrazzo & Marble (our go-to for slab selections), which provided us with a starting point for the aesthetics and allowed us to incorporate color in a unique way. We selected the elongated hexagonal shaped wall tile with a green outline and larger, neutral, anti-slip floor tile to correlate with the pale taupe cabinets. We added finishing touches through colorful artwork and a neutral animal print window treatment for some added personality! For the guest bath, we left the footprint of the space static while adding new cabinets, countertops, lighting, shower tile, paint, window treatments and accessories for a slight face-lift. We parlayed our client’s love of color into the cabinetry with a bold blue, ensuring this guest bath makes a big statement.
