Meet the Studio Brunstrum Team!

Staff Highlight: Patti | Junior Designer

Born and raised in New Orleans, Patti developed a keen eye for detail at an early age. As the daughter of an interior designer (mother) and avid art collector (father), she grew up in a world of color, texture and ever-evolving decor. Patti graduated from Trinity College in Connecticut with a BA in Art History. Her professional journey began six years ago in PR and communications, where she focused on business and brand strategy for clients in the interior design and architecture industry, while simultaneously serving as Director of Communications for the Design Leadership Network. After three years in NYC, Patti moved to Chicago and took on the position of Project Coordinator for Waterworks, managing bathroom and kitchen projects. Her broad experience and passion for art and design bring a unique perspective to her role as Junior Designer at Studio Brunstrum. Being away from her native New Orleans, Patti cherishes vacation time with family, and in her free time enjoys painting, and continuously tweaking her cozy studio apartment in the Gold Coast. Why Interior Design?:
My mother is an interior designer in New Orleans and my father collects a wide range of art, so creativity was encouraged throughout my childhood. In terms of design, I remember being so proud of the effect our well-decorated home had on friends and family. I haven’t always known where my path would take me career-wise, but I am not surprised this is where I ended up!

Why Studio Brunstrum?:
I believe that a collaborative atmosphere is extremely important in our industry. The Studio Brunstrum team is comprised of very different personalities, but we all mesh so well. It makes Monday mornings a whole lot more enjoyable!

Favorite Part of Your Job?:
As rewarding as it is to see a design come together in the end, a favorite part of my job is the beginning of a new project. I love stepping into a client’s home for the first time and picturing all the exciting possibilities to transform the space.
