Meet the Studio Brunstrum Team!

Staff Highlight: Miles | Senior Designer

Born and raised in Chicago, Miles stayed in the city to attend Columbia College where he majored in broadcast journalism. He comes to Studio Brunstrum with over 15 years of experience in the design industry, ranging from custom home furnishings sales and showroom management to project collaborations including hospitality and residential design. Having designed public spaces urban residences and weekend getaways, he brings an extensive knowledge of space planning, furniture design and customization to the design process (in addition to a love of color and texture). Miles spends his spare time renovating a 110-year-old home in Chicago with his partner Jay, while trying to satisfy a travel bug along the way. Entertaining is a passion for them both, opening their home to friends and family along with their two dogs, Chloe and Wilhelmina.

Why Interior Design?:
I have always had an eye and passion for color, texture, functionality and beauty, so it was inevitable that this is where I belonged. With encouragement from close friends in the industry I dove right in and haven’t looked back or regretted a choice since.

Why Studio Brunstrum?:
Having known Susan for some time and with a level of respect and admiration for her passion, drive & achievements I knew where I wanted to plant my feet, grow and assist in her growth path as well.

Favorite Part of Your Job?:
I would honestly have to say the creativity and satisfaction that comes with the opportunities we are given to make someone’s home, surroundings and life not only more aesthetically pleasing, but functional and practical all in one resulting in happiness, relaxation and sharing that with friends & family.

Describe Your Personal Interiors Style:
Clean lined, subtle toned, symmetrical yet eclectic. Telling the story of one’s life through art, carpets and found objects with a mix of materials and textures that complement each other but are also ever evolving and being curated.
